What else can i do? I'm at my wits end, especailly when Norton can't help. I do have the original disc, so that is not a issue on installing.
Welcome, You mention proxy settings. Have you opened , clicked on settings and then clicked on administrative settings and entered the necessary information?
Note that the box for 'automatically detect settings' is not 'x'ed by default. I can't get LiveUpdate to run. Norton chat couldn't help. They could not access my pc remotely.
I keep getting the msg. ATT says nothing wrong with home network, or proxy settings. I'm at my wits end, it will not update. Any suggestions other than what is on the forums? Correct me if I'm wrong but I seem to remember answering this message in another area not too long ago.
If this is a duplicate please go back to the original for my response. If it's not, my apologies. Thanks Hugh. You're welcome -- I'll leave it up to you whether to ask a moderator to graft this onto the earlier thread. Back to top. Reg: Feb I unistalled the antivirus hoping that Windows 10 update will start, but nothing, the same problem. I really need some help with windows 10 update. I tried a lot of methods to solve this problem ,but nothing. PS: Also,I don't really know if this is the real problem because of which Windonws doesn't start the download process.

I have Norton Security running just fine on my Windows 10 machine, and it installed from the Norton website without any glitches. At worst, it's telling you that once you install Win 10, your version of Norton may not work in the Win 10 environment. Once you actually get Windows 10 installed, go to your account on the Norton website and let them update your copy of Norton remotely.
That will get you the latest, and hopefully compatible version. As for what's holding up your Win 10 installation, it could be that it's just not your turn yet.
